Dr. Sara Pourheydarian received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Business from Hanover College. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry where she participated in medical mission trips to Honduras, Belize and Jamaica. Dr. Sara became a part of the VisionFirst family back in 2009 when she served as a pretester at VisionFirst while attending Optometry school.
Dr. Sara practices full-scope optometry ranging from comprehensive eye exams to pre- and post-operative care for cataract and vision correction surgery. She also specializes in pediatric care, contact lenses and diagnosing and treating ocular disease. As a Spanish speaker, she extends services to Spanish speaking patients.
Dr. Sara enjoys running, kayaking and spending quality time with her family and husband Jason. Dr. Sara is very active in the community and is passionate about raising awareness for people with disabilities through her involvement with Best Buddies KY. She is also an active member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Kentucky Optometric Association.
