Ever since Dr. Rod Rallo moved to Louisville and expanded his practice by purchasing Louisville Optical in 1987, VisionFirst has become the largest “locally owned and operated” eye care practice in the region.
The Growing VisionFirst Community
Over the course of 10 years, Louisville Optical expanded to 7 offices located throughout Kentucky. These offices include the original one on Poplar Level Road, as well as locations in Middletown, Hurstbourne Parkway, Preston Highway, Shelbyville KY, and Frankfort KY. Currently, there are 19 VisionFirst offices located conveniently throughout the Kentuckiana area.
In 2016, VisionFirst Eye Care proudly transitioned to becoming an employee-owned practice. Today, we have a team of 38 optometrists and nearly 200 dedicated staff members who take pride in serving our local communities. Every year, over 300,000 patients trust VisionFirst’s eye care professionals to provide the highest level of care.
