Ever since Dr. Rod Rallo moved to Louisville and expanded his practice by purchasing Louisville Optical in 1987, VisionFirst has become the largest “locally owned and operated” eye care practice in the region.
The Growing VisionFirst Community
In just 10 short years, Louisville Optical grew to 7 offices in Kentucky. These included the original office off Poplar Level Road along with offices in Middletown, Hurstbourne Parkway, Preston Highway, Shelbyville KY and Frankfort KY. Currently there are 16 convenient VisionFirst offices serving the Kentuckiana area with the potential of more offices to come in the near future.
In 2016, VisionFirst Eye Care proudly became an Employee Owned practice consisting of almost 30 optometrists and a dedicated staff of over 165. Today over 100,000 patients a year trust the eye care professionals at VisionFirst to provide them with the highest level of eye care around.
