Dr. Andrea Sandifer, a native of Georgetown, Indiana, earned her undergraduate degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Microbiology from Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Indiana. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Pikeville: Kentucky College of Optometry in Pikeville, Kentucky. She completed externships with Blue Ridge Eye Care Associates in Galax, Virginia, as well as at John Kenyon American Eye Centers at all of their Indiana and Kentucky locations.
Dr. Sandifer practices full-scope optometry care for patients of all ages, including comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, and co-management of pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery. She fits all major brands of contact lenses, including those that correct for astigmatism and multifocal lenses. Dr. Sandifer is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Kentucky Optometric Association.
When she’s not working, Dr. Sandifer enjoys traveling, crafting, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
