Dr. Derek Wilder received his undergraduate degree from Wabash College and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. Dr. Wilder practices full-scope optometric care, ranging from comprehensive eye exams to pre- and post-operative care for cataract and vision correction surgery. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Dry Eye Disease, as well as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, and Diabetic Retinopathy.
Dr. Wilder has extensive training and experience in fitting contact lenses. He fits all major brands of contact lenses, including contacts for astigmatism and multifocal wearers. Dr. Wilder is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Kentucky Optometric Association. Outside of the office, Dr. Wilder enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, going for a good hike, cycling, or kayaking.
