Dr. Badiwala earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Fordham University. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2013.
She provides full-scope optometric care, including comprehensive eye exams, diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, and co-management of pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgeries. Dr. Badiwala is experienced in fitting all major types of contact lenses, including those for astigmatism, multifocals, gas-permeable lenses, and other specialty designs.
During her final year of training, Dr. Badiwala completed clinical rotations in various specialties: ocular disease management at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Montrose, NY; primary and pediatric care at Dimock Health Center; and pre- and post-operative refractive surgery care at Atlanta Vision Center.
Having personally benefited from vision therapy at a young age, Dr. Badiwala has a special interest in pediatric eye care and is a registered InfantSEE® provider.
She is an active member of both the American Optometric Association and the Kentucky Optometric Association.
Outside of the office, Dr. Badiwala enjoys giving back to her community and spending quality time with her family and friends.
