Funny kid girl in glasses reading books

School’s out for summer, but as we all know, the days are flying by! In just two short months, school will be back in session and we’ll be prepping for cooler weather. If your summer plans consist of swimming, vacationing, and enjoying time with your family, don’t forget to add one more important item to that list: getting your children’s check-ups scheduled.

Incoming Kindergarteners are Required to Have a Comprehensive Eye Exam on File

If you have a kindergartener starting school this year, you are probably familiar with all the paperwork that must accompany them during the registration process. The State of Kentucky requires all incoming Kindergarteners to receive a comprehensive eye exam before starting school. Even though you have until January 1 to get this complete, the summer months are a great time to get it out of the way. Once school begins and after-school activities and sports start to take shape, getting appointments scheduled becomes nearly impossible!

VisionFirst is happy to offer eye exams for $55 for school-age children

We want to help, so during the summer months, we’re are offering a special on eye exams for only $55 for school-aged children.

Picking out backpacks, lunch boxes, colorful pencils, and the newest in elementary trends are the fun part about back to school shopping.
